Received two days ago. I tried grating ginger and found it did the job well. The blades are very sharp to the touch, so DO NOT cut yourself! The grip is solid and the anti-slip part on the other end does its job very well too. I would advise you to only hand wash it as knives and the like inevitably lose their sharpness in the dishwasher. However, be extra careful when cleaning by hand. I have some objections to the "blade guard" design. I have no idea why two large oval holes were left on it exposing the blades. If you want to cover it for safety, just cover it completely. Leaving these oval holes is dangerous. The designers may have had "some purpose" for these holes, but I couldn't figure it out myself. If they are not that important, just try to hide them in future versions. You can see what I mean by looking at the last image in the ad, which shows a larger view of the area around these oval holes. Otherwise I think it's a good buy for everyone. I'm not sure if the metal parts will rust too soon or not. Time will tell me. Hope it stays that way for a long time.
