I love them. I'm calling this a preview as I've only had them for a short time and I'll see how they hold up but... I bought them mainly to fit in my full face helmet but I also wanted them to serve when I did just wanted to wear them while walking, driving or...anywhere you need sunglasses. Function: The thin brackets easily fit through a hole in my full-face helmet. They fit very snugly so the goggles fit very snugly against the face and stay there, and after driving about 40 miles around town looking left and right to change lanes, she didn't budge. With a nearly frameless design and ultra-light weight, you'll hardly notice you're wearing glasses. They are not very dark and that was my personal preference. I just want to block out the sun, but very dark "for me" glasses make it difficult to see confidently into the distance. You were perfect. If you drive, you know the further you can see someone doing something crazy, the better. The main reason I bought Oakleys and not a cheaper brand is that I need clarity. When using goggles under a helmet you not only look through the lenses of the goggles but also through the plastic lens of the helmet and in my case I also look through the fairing when looking down. I tried Wiley X and a few other brands but either there was too much distortion or they were too dark. I was outside today and could literally see MILES into the distance through goggles and a helmet shield as if it were daytime. Just great. Oakley justified the hype there! I didn't notice any distortion at all when looking left or right as the lenses seem very sharp edge to edge. The lenses were amazing and I would rate them only half a shade below glass lenses in terms of optical clarity. The best plastic lenses of the time. Appearance and Fit: I have a small to medium sized face. or fixed average. I think it fits great. They're a little bigger than my Rayban Wayfarer II, which I've used for years, but because they're curved, they fit about the same. Actually . I think they fit a bit better as I've gained a few pounds since I bought the Raybans 20 years ago. While the half jackets I once owned might have been the best pair of goggles given their more muscular arms, I felt a bit silly just walking around in them. I'm not a commando or Olympic athlete, and while they were fantastic on the bike, I felt a bit silly going to the grocery store in them. Thinlink looks very good as hiking goggles. Just a wonderful bonus that they work so well with a helmet. After all. The price was great for a pair of windows and most importantly for performance and looks. I think these are great glasses for $100.
