These are advertised as 300w units. When first switched on it was clear that it was NOT MORE THAN 300 W, in fact it couldn't even be 100 W. So I took out a voltmeter and an ammeter. At 13.6V they drew 3.1A and the total power consumption was 42.2W. Allowing for losses in the voltage converter/current limiter, the LEDs certainly cannot be powered more than 40 watts. Given their performance compared to, for example, a 10W Cree LED, it is clear that these LEDs are not very efficient. Given that the wires appear to be around 20 gauge, it's clear the manufacturer KNEW they would never draw the amperage required for 300 watts. - requires 7 times electricity! Now they WORK. They will give you light. Imagine these are 20-40 watt lamps, not 300 watts.
