This little accessory I think is a must have for your new automatic toilet. The only major downside to my new litter box was that the cats chased the new litter box outside of it. This mat is large enough for cats to have enough room to walk on after they exit the box and will likely absorb 95% of the excess debris left outside the box. It should be noted that I also bought a lid for my litter box that only restricts cat entry/exit in one direction. The rug is easy to clean, all I have to do is roll it up and throw it in the trash. Cleaning can be a little tricky if feces get on the mat as it can get stuck in the fibres. I used a pressure washer on the mat to fix it.
