They look great and don't bend allowing the doorknob to hit the wall! Our previous spring doorstops allowed heavier exterior doors to push down and then the doorknob would bang against the wall. My only concern is someone stepping on it or hitting it hard enough to damage the baseboard. I'm concerned that any pressure other than frontal pressure will pry the cartridge out of the baseboard like a small pry bar. They are shorter than my previous spring doorstops so this may reduce the chance of stepping on them or hitting them with something. We're out of carpet and don't use a vacuum, so I think the likelihood of it being hit hard enough to cause damage isn't an issue. I used to hit the springs pretty hard with the vacuum, but sweepers are a lot lighter.
