I was ready to buy a new washing machine because I could not get this black mold off mine. I tried all kinds of methods to get it off but nothing worked or even seemed to help. I recently got a water softener and filter system installed and I suspect my previously unfiltered, hard water is what caused it to grow, especially since I clean it all the time and always leave the door open. Fortunately, I decided to try this before buying a whole new washer after having that system installed, and I am amazed at how well it worked, considering nothing else did. I applied it twice and left it sitting overnight both times. There's still some spots left that I couldn't see well without having a light directly on it, so those are not because this product doesn't work. I'm confident that another overnight application will get those spots off as well. Very impressed with the results!
