Poor workmanship, inaccurate temperature display, incorrect instructions
The device only works if you "just like that" squeeze the housing and the temperature display is switched off. I opened it up, melted some bad looking solder joints and fixed the power issue. However, the temperature values still differ by more than 10 degrees from each other. I tried to calibrate it but the setup menu didn't look like the instructions and I could never get into the calibration menu (only one setup option I could change was set to 202 by default - set point maybe but who White). threw.
