Review on 🐠 Uniclife 3400 GPH Controllable Wavemaker: Enhance Marine and Freshwater Aquarium Circulation with W-40 Controller and Magnet Mount by Sarah Riekhof

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is a great wave maker. The included bracket has a .

Excellent wave generator. The mount it comes in has rubber vibration isolation which makes it very quiet. However, it makes a noise that resembles a faint ringing in the ears. After a while you don't even hear it anymore. I have a W-25 model in a 75 gram tank, 48 inches long, 18 inches wide and 22 inches deep and I think it works great! I would like to point out how strong the magnets are. When installing, position the wave generator where you want it, place an external magnet on the glass a good distance from the wave generator, and slide them together. If you just hit them together you could pinch your fingers and/or break glass. When I first got the shaft generator, the impeller made an awful noise, almost a grinding/screaming noise. It went away on its own after about two agonizing days. This problem can also be solved by disassembling the block and painting the impeller shaft with petroleum jelly. The knob on the control block sets the wavelength, or how quickly a new wave is created, while the pink knob sets the power. The minimum power can be found in B .30%, there are 6 steps to 100%. The mode button from left to right sets continuous mode, stop and go mode, sine wave and finally random riff mode. Pressing and holding the mode button locks it. Pressing and holding the speed/feed button will give you 10 minutes of idle time. ALWAYS connect the Wavemaker to the control box BEFORE plugging the adapter into an outlet. Failure to do so will result in a serious arc flash that is highly visible and potentially very dangerous.
