The summer that this review was conducted was a difficult summer in Greece, in many places in the western United States, and elsewhere in a world suffering from climate change. Air quality has deteriorated to dangerous levels due to the fires, which have added cities like Denver and Phoenix to already smoky conditions. But how bad is it? If your lungs are already damaged (long-term COVID?), should you be concerned? With a form factor strongly reminiscent of an old transistor radio, the Air Steward goes some distance, though I can't tell how far, to give you more than the binary (good/bad) rating you'll get from a smoke alarm would or CO2. It uses a 2600mAh battery, but is it user replaceable? It's not a cheap product, but you should consider buying one that also offers Wi-Fi and adds temperature, humidity (which also needs to be calibrated) and radon.
