Review on 🔧 Yost 206 Machinist 360° Swivel Tool by Todd Stovall

Excellent vise. I tried many models including the Wilton before purchasing this one in 2011. The clamping force is impressive and I can even use it as a press for some small items. I attribute this to the high quality materials used in the vise and honestly I don't think a regular imported vise would hold up to such abuse. Over the years I've had a set of plain smooth sponges as I often work with aluminum and crosshatched sponges are too aggressive for soft metal. The ability to rotate the vise is nice if you need it, but it's not very perfect. I see that Yost is now taking some of their products overseas, but they are still advertised as "Made in the USA". Buy a quality vise and it will last you for years. They do a good job of staying reasonably priced. In the seven years since I've bought them, they've reduced the price by $40.
