The best way to solve my problem is Transmission and parts

2004 Chevy Venture. I bought this caravan about a year ago. After about a month, the transsexual started acting weird, mainly when taking off and going from 3rd to 4th. You know that sound. But it won't always be like that, so I've never done anything about it. I bought a new oil and filter, thinking that would fix the problem, but I couldn't change them. So over time it seems to be getting worse here and there. So, a few weeks ago, she suddenly started acting really weird. The main problem was that when shifting from 1st to 4th it jerked here and there. And when she stopped she went from 4th to 1st and fell as if to part with me. The next day the check engine light came on. I received a code PO742, the torque converter circuit is stuck meaning this solenoid is defective. So I have this solenoid and 3 others that this gearbox has. I decided to change them all while I'm there. About $100 for all 4. So my mechanic did the work at his house. This took about 5 hours. It takes a lot of work to get access to the transmission side cover where these magnets are located. And we also change oil and filter on the same day. It's been 6 days now and it drives and shifts great with no problems, better than when I bought the van. I'm a bit scared that the gearbox might suffer other damage from waiting so long, but hopefully it stays the way it is now.
