Two Great Reasons to Buy One of These
(1) The battery in the key is soldered to the circuit board, and if you drop (or throw) the key and it hits a hard surface, the Battery tabs can detach from the circuit board and no longer function. it helps soften it a bit. (2) If you need to replace the battery in this key, it must be cut with a razor blade to access the battery. After soldering a new battery and using a small amount of glue to put the key back together, the rubber boot will keep the key from falling apart if the glue loosens. (see reason 1)
