I've mounted the lamp on a lectern. The supporting springs on the arms seem to be gauged for a mount on a level table and struggle to support the arms when mounted on a tilted lectern top. Also, the adjustable screw for the magnifying glass takes considerable effort to tighten sufficiently to hold the magnifying glass in place. That said, the lamp is very flexible and spreads a good light. The magnifying glass clearly exposes detail, though it must be adjusted to a strict orthogonal to the subject to avoid distortion.
