This mesh pouch is a little shorter than I thought it would be, but I didn't read the product measurements either, so it's on me. I've read reviews of leaking more seeds when filling the bag, but there is a way to avoid this. I took my bag of niger seeds and opened the top of the bag. Then I put the mesh bag inside the seed bag. Take a small measuring cup (I used a 5 ounce paper cup) and fill the mesh bag completely while it is in the seed bag. Once the mesh bag is filled to the brim, pull the string to tighten the bag to keep the seeds from spilling out. I hung it on Shepard's hook and in less than 24 hours I had a flock of yellow birds enjoying the feast. I've ordered a few more for myself and a few for my sister.
