Ps4 Symptoms: Lags in the menu and loading, constant freezing and the need for a hard restart. Multiple hard reboots and shutdowns resulted in the system software getting messed up. I downloaded the full system installation to a USB flash drive from the Playstation website. Tried reinstalling, problems persist. Continued to hang and lag, and by lag I mean 10-15 seconds to respond, not a short lag. Installing this disk took 3 minutes. The disc was slightly thicker and heavier than Toshiba's that came out. I already had a full system install on the hard drive and it was much faster than the original hard drive. I've done this several times on an old drive to fix it. The new drive works great, much quieter than the original, there are no lags, everything works fine. Glad you fixed the problem. $50 is better than buying a new PS4. I already had 1TB so this didn't expand my drive but I'm sure it would be a good idea to upgrade to 500GB if you have that.
