This is my second pair of Wave Rider Waveknit and fifth pair in the entire Wave Rider range. I've been running for 14 years, but in recent years I've increased the distance. 2 years ago I ran my first half marathon, last year I ran my first full marathon and earlier this year I ran my first 50K. I trained 50km in the Waveknit R1 and ran in these R2s. I haven't had blisters with any of the Waveknit pairs, but sock selection is key here. For me Waveknit is a bit smaller. I had to wear a 12 on both occasions while wearing 11.5 on my previous three Wave Riders. The main problem is in the toe area where it puts more pressure on my big toe than the regular Wave Rider. The 11.5" fit all over my foot. What I love most about these Waveknit shoes is the durability of the upper. I tend to have a hole in all my shoes near my pinky toe. I believe ", this has happened to all my running shoes before these two pairs of Waveknit but I've had no problems. I've run over 500 miles in the R1 before giving them up to just walk around in my running shoes. They probably have a few hundred miles more normal Going back and still looking great I've driven the R2 about 250 miles and love it I just hope they have red ones when R3 comes out.
