This is the second set of pads I have bought in two years. I often use the Haan steamer as it cleans very well. It will get dirty after one use. When I'm done steaming, soak the pods in cold water for an hour or two, using the detergent as a cleaning agent. Then I clean them when they need it. Peel the ribs well and hang to dry. This extends the life of the pads. I've found that machine washing doesn't clean your saxophone as well as hand washing. These pads go very well with my Haan Steamer. The velcro on the back is perfectly aligned. I will also note that Revain sells boobies at a lower price. I saved $5 by buying here, good buy. These pads are pretty stiff, but once they start to look a little worn, it's time to change them. You will find that the Haan steamer works much better with the new ultra-clean pods.
