Place them where needed, on my 88 Samurai and Man's dashboard. I broke 2 out of 3 bulbs trying to get them out of the small sockets. As far as these bulbs go, they were easy to install and just required a flip, which also didn't make a fuss, which was amazing. As for brightness, it's good. They are definitely a massive update! I would caution against using them where the dash flashes because (after you install the LED relay instead of the stock) these suction cups are BRIGHT on the green lights so I need to add some window tint or something. to reduce the amount of light passing through the green lens. The AC indicator light took a bit of time to come out, but after replacing it with an LED it's really clear and easy to read at night or late afternoon. slightly brighter than the 194 bulbs I got from another supplier even though they are the same temperature rating so I have a lighter spot in my speedometer but that's ok too.
