This item works exactly as it is designed for me. Converted the latest Volkswagen SUV's factory 7-pin connector into a connector that could accept a 4-pin connector. With most smaller rental trailers using a 4 pin setup, this part is essential for those using their new vehicles for occasional towing or U-Haul trailer rentals. This part really should be included on cars sold with a towing package.
