Review on TheBlueStone No Light Infrared Terrarium Amphibian by Robin Baker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good pear, but too small for 20 liters.

This lamp worked great but I would NOT recommend it for a 20 liter aquarium if you keep geckos. Its heat dissipation is not powerful enough to blow it to the floor in such an open space. However if you are using this for chickens or eggs this is the right size as long as you don't have to worry about the strainer staying on top of the cage. (FYI, for those who don't keep geckos) From the top of the screen on my 20L to the bottom 3 inches (roughly 9 inches from the top to 3 inches from the bottom) the temp ranges from 75-82 and can go down due to distance and lack of power not get higher. I then tried the 100 watt version I bought from petco so I can return it if I don't have enough power and it still fluctuates between 79 and 83 and isn't able to like all the time I wanted to go up and stay at 85. So I bought a 150w bulb and it works great. WARNING: Be sure to use the temperature probe to control the temperature in the live animal cage. Also, please make sure to use a CERAMIC heater lamp with this product, if the socket is not ceramic, the wires inside can easily come loose, resulting in an electrical fire, dead animals, and in the worst case, the loss of a home can.
