Initial rating: Very, very weak! Virtually useless! Yes, it's labeled as a portable steamer, but it's so weak it takes even a shirt forever. In addition, there is a built-in shutdown timer, so it constantly loses steam during operation. I don't understand how this product can have over 1000 5 star reviews. UPDATE 3/3/2016: Pretty good until you fill up to the max line. I was contacted by Pure Enrichment support to provide a replacement to try. There's nothing wrong with giving him a second chance, which is why I accepted the offer. At first I was very disappointed with the device exchange. Looks like it has the same problem as my first one. Here's what I did step by step: I filled the tank to the max. Plugged it in and it warmed up in 1:15-1:30 which was quicker than the advertised 2 minutes. Then I heard a "click" and the steam started after about 20 seconds. Then another "click" was heard, followed by more intense vapor for 15-20 seconds. bubbles for about 10 seconds until there is another "click" and the cycle repeats. This switching on and off took almost 9 minutes! Just as I was about to give up and turn it off, I noticed that steam was constantly coming out, and it kept going until the water ran out. He managed fairly well in pants but only lasted about 4:30. So, after a few tests I figured out what the problem is. This steamer doesn't like it when you fill up the tank to the brim. This results in an on/off cycle. Instead, it's best to fill it about 4/5 full. This creates a steady, continuous steam of sufficient strength that stopped at 7:00 am and finally ran out of water at 7:30 am. Pros: Compact and portable. Quickly and easily lockable upper part. and clean when done. Heats up faster than stated at 1:15-1:30 and that with cold-filtered Brita water. Lack of the advertised 10 minutes of continuous steam. I get 7 minutes but probably because I only filled 4/5 of the way. The plastic is light purple in color. Easily recognizable compared to something truly white like cord. Conclusion: DO NOT FILL WATER TO THE MAXIMUM LINE! This is a better vape than I first thought when I noticed it.
