Review on 🔌 Tripp Lite IS500 Isolation Transformer: 500W Surge Protection with 4 Outlet, 6ft Cord – TAA GSA Compliant by Tone Hatton

1) It was damaged, the metal case was dented in transit. 2) I actually called Tripp Lite and asked them if this model uses a toroidal transformer or an EI core transformer. I was told by them that it uses a toroidal transformer. I asked you if you are very sure because I am going to buy it. The guy from Tripp Lite sounded like a young man on the phone, he was annoyed that I asked him if he was sure and only answered if you had any further questions. So I searched the internet for pictures of this isolation transformer from the inside, the pictures show the toroidal transformer used. So I ordered it and as it turns out it uses an EI core transformer. So I suspect the Tripp Lite rep is wrong and just has no idea what's going on and I think this model has been updated to use the EI core from before. EI core transformers are cheaper but they don't meet my needs for what I'm trying to do. Unfortunately I will be sending them back.
