Review on 🚀 K&N Cold Air Intake Kit: High Performance, Guaranteed Horsepower Boost: Compatible with 2016-2019 Toyota Tacoma 3.5L V6, 63-9039 by Eric Cooper

This is the third k&n air intake I have installed and it was a little more interesting than the others as it is the only one I broke during installation. Here are my pros and cons. Advantages: 1. Better throttle response. Maybe more power but no difference will blow your mind lol.2. Appears to be smooth start and acceleration3. Sounds amazing. It's subtle in normal driving, but gets loud when you put your foot down. I feel like it's only really loud at 4,000 rpm. If you have experience with air intakes on cars, you will most likely agree that they are soft.4. Bad update after a few miles on this one but after an initial test drive I'm pretty sure the gas mileage will be better. K&n provided excellent technical support and even replaced parts that were damaged during installation free of charge (see cons for details)6. Everything is fully supported by them, and they even guarantee that if a factory warranty claim is denied due to this trick, they will cover it. Cons: 1. Instructions are detailed and include photos of a real Toyota Tacoma like mine. (As with every other K&N air intake I've installed) however they seem to lack detail on some parts and could be much clearer on some aspects of the installation. They seem to have put a lot of effort into the instructions and they are good, but a few things needed clarification. 2. When tightening the breather hose, it broke off (see figure). Why wasn't it done on the tube after all? Seems pointless to screw it up. However, be extremely careful when assembling. ***(Note that k&n sent me a replacement and intake manifold free of charge after I called)***3. Lots of screws and washers that look very similar and the instructions do a terrible job of distinguishing what goes where. It's easy to understand, but I feel like they could have simplified the screws and ones they use. In closing, if you want better throttle response, a deep, growling engine sound, and overall better handling, I recommend this for your Tacoma. I highly recommend reading the instructions for each step and being extremely careful during installation. Don't tighten anything!
