150mm lens is sharp, bokeh is pleasant. The build is solid, the manual focus ring is smooth and at F2.8 it delivers good light for a macro lens. Unfortunately I bent the lens hood. There's no replacement from vendors like Revain, or surprisingly from IRIX itself. After several emails, they confirmed they don't currently sell a replacement. Even the fine print on the warranty is suspicious. The warranty only covers parts that are sent to you after a picture of the problem is provided. This means that labor costs, which often make up the majority of repair costs, are not covered. If the problem is with the internal parts of the lens, how can this be demonstrated in the picture? If IRIX doesn't repair its lenses, will independent repair shops be willing and able to do so?
