Review on 💧 Pure Aqueous by Robert Castro

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A suggestive retelling of the woman at the well!

4.5/5 stars (rounded up to 5) I received the ARC for this book and am volunteering to review it Roxy just wants to be loved. She quickly agrees to marry her first boyfriend. This marriage is short-lived, so she remarries. And after all, she was married five times. Every marriage is very different, from convenience to true love. But Roxy feels like she's missing something these marriages can't make up for. When her life finally descends into complete chaos, she discovers a different kind of relationship that fills her with living water. Roxy's story is absolutely insane! From the start, I couldn't help but wonder how this girl ended up in five different marriages! My curiosity was piqued and I was dying to know how Roxy got to this point. This book totally exceeded my expectations - there was so much happening in every moment of this story and it really got me hooked! Sometimes I felt so sorry for Roxy and sometimes I was in awe of her. Romantic relationships aren't the only relationships in this story; Family relationships and friendships are here, not to mention spiritual relationships. Allison has done a great job with all of these relationships and some of the pain points. When I got to the end my heart was overflowing and I just wanted to hug Roxy! This story combines contemporary themes with biblical character and the result is so powerful! The messages in this book are very important and are sure to resonate with readers!
