I bought this for a light jute rug in a high traffic area. I followed the instructions on each of the containers and left the powder on longer than I intended to really clean the carpet. Keep in mind this is jute so I didn't scrub hard with the brush provided as I didn't want to damage the fibers. Actually it didn't work. I had a spot where some coffee spilled a while ago and it REALLY lightened that area enough that it wasn't that noticeable anymore so that was good. but on the whole the carpet looked no different than before. I'm sure it "freshened up" the carpet, but I really wanted a big change. By the way, make sure to clean each filter of your vacuum cleaner thoroughly after vacuuming. I have a Dyson cordless and the internal cone filter was full of powder. I will continue to use this product and tweak the process for better results, but I have no plans to purchase again.
