Review on Harris 05356E5 Aluminum Welding 0 030 by Iration Ahim

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I can use my Miller 130

. I can run it through my Millermatic 130 Mig (110AC) welder (not a "spool gun"). what will happen first; You will have trouble if the wire slips off a full spool the first time you use it. It is "FULLY" wound to 8" and when the weld is stopped there is still some inertia in the spool which rolls a little more to allow the wire to unwind (slip off). So I had to do something Release wire to get some sort of sidewall on the spool to fix the problem If you can find the ER5356 on a "3LB-8" spool, this is the perfect size to run on a 5lb (FULL ) 8" coil works. Gun because 4 inch spools are small in diameter, causing the aluminum wire to become a tight spiral (memory) in the wire, causing the wire to become wavy; Increased friction being pushed through the 12ft gun liner (I have a teflon liner) causing feed issues. I cannot use internally wound wire on 4" spools due to spool memory causing feed problems.

Pros
  • welding wire
Cons
  • Clarity
