Well I thought I'd spend some money and buy some decent circuits instead of your cheap run-of-the-mill local hardware circuits. If there's less than two inches of snow, it's fine. They work great when all you have to do is negotiate a chain link roadblock and freshly plowed roads. The setup sucks, you have to get on your hands and knees to wrap the rear end around the tire, and when you're standing on the edge of a busy freeway/motorway when it's snowing, it's no fun. And if your tire has snow at all, they won't fit, you have to scrape all the snow off. Also, be careful not to go in any direction other than forward with them, they will break and fly away. So if you're driving on a nice road that has clear space to install chains and is freshly plowed, or the snow hasn't fallen more than half a foot and you're constantly moving forward and don't dare at all, this is what you need to do a backup because if you ever need to do this during a storm, then that's fine! If not, then fun awaits you. Also, the tiny round pieces tend to be thrown off when you hit the car/truck behind you and tend to disappear after the third or fourth use. Hopefully the person behind you doesn't have 4WD and can't keep up with you to get mad at you.
