As mentioned in many other reviews there were scratches/marks on every plastic decoration. I was luckier than others because I had relatively small scratches and not exactly in the middle of the ball. And the packaging slime problem that arose a few years ago seems to have been solved. Plastic balls reflect the light very well, so there is glare that makes it difficult to see photos. There are similar decorations that cost more but are said to be acrylic and more transparent. For the price, I can live with a few flaws - although of course they've come down in price since I've ordered mine. If you are meticulous and a perfectionist, expect to spend a few hours creating your jewelry. First, removing the decorative caps requires a lot of twisting and pulling. One almost believes that the plastic would break with the necessary force. Also, it takes time to carefully crop photos to the right size. I ended up gluing the photos together to keep them from wrinkling and moving in the ball, which is ugly. Print on good photo paper or they will be too flimsy to sit in place. As a result, my jewelry was fine. If I did more in the future I might try a different brand to see if they are much better.
