Review on Mishimoto Teardrop Shift Knob: Sleek Black Finish for Optimal Control by Paul Williams

Installed on Civic Si Fa5 "2008” with drain switch module. Found that the bulky tall gear knob adds plenty of headroom. Not looking at pin charts was my downfall. After receiving the package I immediately opened the box for installation as I expected much less cold in winter due to the "thermal cover" it was just as cold as my previous one piece aluminum handle. Not as weather friendly as advertised and the weighted core protrudes through the top of the grip leading me to believe the aluminum top and bottom would get hot through the contacts even at +80° in the summer. It might look better with a short-travel derailleur, but it's still very big.
