Initially the block did not work. The AC plug was bad inside [open circuit when plugged in], after replacing the plug it was just full on/off, had to adjust the carbon stick pressure setting, don't plan to use this for reliable speed control, get a cheap one Triac Speed Control . I thought there might be some issues for this price. The motor has a shaft pitch of approximately 1/16" [end to end] which shouldn't be a problem using the belt upgrade provided. I just found that the 0.5 amp motor sent was 50 to 60 watts and runs at 17,000 to 19,000 rpm,
