At first we were skeptical about buying this laptop stand as it will support a $4,000 2021 Macbook Pro. We needed a design that met our Mac's "grey space" specifications, but more importantly, something that was mature in terms of durability, strength, and cooling/ventilation properties. When we received the product I was amazed at the quality. The material is 100% solid heavy aluminum and weighs approximately 5-6 pounds. The joints were heavy and required a lot of pressure to set them at the perfect angle. This Mac stand will NOT vibrate or flex, which is a big deal when it packs $4,000 worth of technology. In addition, the stand is equipped with rubber bumpers in the right places to prevent metal on metal. The handles are secure and keep our Macbook right where we want it. Even when tested with a less expensive laptop, the stand held the laptop almost at a 90 degree angle. The stand has 2 slots for adequate ventilation and cooling, but since it is also made of high-quality aluminum, it also dissipates heat quite well and ensures sufficient airflow. The design itself is modern and sleek, allowing the device to be rotated to two different angles, making it the perfect stand for a sophisticated multi-screen display. On the highest settings, this little one almost rivals our 16-inch Macbook with our 30-inch curved widescreen, also on a stand. It makes desktop sharing very easy! Finally, this stand frees up desk space. They literally take up (2) 2" squares on your desk, but the open design allows you to fit your Magic Keyboard, documents, or other office supplies underneath your laptop. Whether you use a Macbook Pro, any other laptop PC, or even a tablet, this device has it covered! We are VERY impressed with our purchase and will be purchasing more of these for our office in the near future. Trust me it's worth it and you get what you pay for. !
