Review on AmazonBasics Replacement Water Filters Pitchers by Mark Hanson

I have a standard Brita pitcher that is already 3 years old and algae started to grow (second picture). I wanted to open the middle part and tried many different things I learned from Youtube but I couldn't open it. I haven't done much research on filters, but I just believed that the famous Brita name guaranteed good water quality and wanted to use their filter. So I found this pitcher thinking the curved shape would prevent the same algae problem. I have just received the jug and am so pleasantly surprised that it is detachable at all. So easy to clean. The Brita filter fits perfectly and does not leak or drip. The price is the same as the Brita filter and I highly recommend this product!
