Not for us for outdoor recreation

Great product but not for my car. This is perfect for those who have not yet installed a crossbar on their car. I couldn't remove the crossbar to place it on the roof so it was pointless.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Functionality

Great product in the surfboard and windsurf stands category

Very easy to install and keeps my surfboard safe! It won't fit more than one board if you have multiple surfboards, but it can probably fit multiple surfboards if you want to transport that.

Pros
  • Enjoy
Cons
  • unreliable

Overall a great product!

Excellent product! I even drove down the freeway at 65mph (top speed) and it held up pretty well. I didn't have great instructions, but then again, it's pretty self-explanatory. Just make sure the thread is under the little hook so you can pull it easily.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • old

Poor quality belt connectors.

Overall a good product but when I first put my boards on the roof and attached the tie down straps the aluminum latch broke with almost no pull leaving me with the only option, two surfboards attached to the cushions by tying the straps together.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

I'm really impressed with this roof rack

First time use was difficult as there were no instructions. I watched a video on the Internet with similar settings. But after that, installation was an absolute breeze. I can now set up my own kayak (5ft 1in, 116lb female) in less than 10 minutes. The belts are very reliable and I have never had any problems. I wish the straps were a foot longer. But works great on my Honda Civic!

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Small parts

Buyer Warning! Racks for surfboards and windsurfers

Photo and advert show pair of racks. However, only one was delivered! Even when you open the box, there are NO assembly instructions, which contributes to the overall poor quality of the product. A strut will not hold my surfboards at highway speeds. Considering I now have to buy an extra rack (compared to the competition where you get a couple of racks) this product isn't worth the price.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • OK

DO NOT BUY! Endangered others and ruined my boards

Worked well for about 2 weeks then broke on the track. It was not hanging out and was firmly and securely attached to the car. All directions followed. The strap broke in half and my 2 good longboards flew onto the street endangering others and wrecking $1000 worth of surfboards. See photos of the horror scene. Do not buy this product. I hope to be compensated for the surf stand, broken surfboards and scratches on my car.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No machine gun
