Review on ⚡ Reliance Controls THP103 AmWatt Appliance Load Tester/Plug with Ammeter and Wattmeter - Blue by Will Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ease of use for electrical devices

Same day dispatch, delivered in two days. Using the formula amperes x volts = watts, I calculated that the starting power of the refrigerator is 720 watts. The counter shows 718 watts. Very close. Easy to use. A slide switch to select watts or amps. Large, easy-to-read numbers. The attached cord is a nice feature. A meter is easier to use than one that plugs into an outlet. I bought a meter to find out the starting power (impulse) of devices and to find out what size generator to buy in case of an emergency. With reward points, the meter cost $14. Knowing pulse power, I was able to buy a smaller generator and save $150. If you want to know pulse power, wattage and current, get this meter.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
