I needed brighter bulbs for my room. I have a dimmer that allows me to increase or decrease the brightness. These bulbs worked great and brightened up my room when I needed it. The only thing you won't know until you use them is that they are noisy. They make a noticeable buzz when you use them. I don't notice it when I'm watching TV, but when I sit down to read it becomes distracting. Also, they are made in China. If I had known that, I would not have bought them.
