I got this battery 10 months ago and used it in my van over the summer. When I parked my van for the winter I put this battery on a maintainer. When I went to put it back in the van the voltage was reading 11.5 volts. I am now on the customer service treadmill. Luckily the battery should still be under warranty. Renogy told me to get an internal resistance test done and they said I could get one at any auto parts store. Well it turns out that that’s not a normal test performed on batteries and after calling at least 7 different auto parts stores, aamco, and my local car electric professional, i had to call Renogy back. Well now they say I’ll have to ship the battery back to them so that they can perform the test, and if the battery is good, then I have to pay for all the shipping. I’ve already had a cold cranking amps test performed on the battery, but Renogy says this is not acceptable to use the warranty. I’m not sure why they require such an odd test when there are plenty others that can tell whether the battery is good or not. The only reason I can think of is that they make crap batteries so often and want to make it as difficult as possible to get the warranty on it. If I could do it again I’d go with another brand.
