Review on Ventmate 69284 White Standard Replacement by James Richardson

I did a little research in the fall of 2014 but I was able to find the correct part number on etrailer.com. The previous 14" standard vent cap I originally ordered was too big so I returned it to Amazon. The installation of part 69284 was not immediately apparent from the picture on the box, but once the lid was fitted it fitted snugly into the vent. This lasted from December 11, 2014 to August 21, 2017. Watching closely why the cover was dangling in the wind, I saw that the 2 small screws holding the metal bracket (which articulates with the crank mechanism) are rusted and had fallen off. It seems durable enough for a $16 product that gets a lot of exposure to sunlight and weather. We store a suitcase for a 2014 Viking cws 10 when not in use for camping.
