I already own a set of SG Tool Aid 18910 crimping pliers but I needed a second set so decided to try these as they looked more sophisticated. The design is better and I like that the spring automatically opens the snapper to keep it closed for storage. The handles are nicer too. But the SG crimping machine makes crimping better and more repeatable. Both tools form comfortable crimps on the wire. The SG tool makes a nice round crimp with the ends of the tabs holding the o-ring connected parallel to each other. This swaging tool tends to cause the tabs holding the gasket to bend away from the gasket toward the end of the pin. It holds the seal in place and is more of a blemish than anything else. While they work well and make a good connection to the wire itself, I would have preferred a crimping tool that makes nicer, easier crimps since they're practically the same price (the SG crimping tool is slightly cheaper but less than a $1 difference between the both). ). 2).
