It took me 35 minutes to assemble which is not bad. but I had some issues that I was able to work around that might be helpful to some of you. 2 screws do not help. I took a hammer and drove the bolts into the hole and after thoroughly oiling my elbows I was able to put the bolts in. The rails that held the boxes were also horribly bent. I also tapped some of them lightly to straighten them out. While I absolutely hate improvising during assembly, which should be fairly easy, I don't get mad at the finished product. I only agreed to this because I didn't feel like packing all that up so I could come back almost seven months pregnant. I'm glad I pulled it through and assembled it. As for smell, buy Arm & Hammer baby freshener and keep one in every drawer.
