This brush is too wide to fit in a cleaning water bottle. The bristles are also very stiff and you can't get the brush to do anything like a S'well bottle, which I tried and couldn't. You need a much smaller brush to clean water bottles but the length is good but not the width. Edit: With enough brute force, this brush can actually be shoved into a water bottle for cleaning, but it takes some serious effort. and you risk hurting your fingers and hands if you put it inside. I'm not sure if the bristles will loosen up over time and make things easier, but most people will have a hard time trying to clean a regular-mouth aluminum water bottle.
