Must get the timing correct or it doesn't work.
I was tired of getting out of bed to turn off the lamp on my dresser. The Clapper was very easy to install--just set it to 2 claps and plug it in the wall outlet. Because it can be set to 2 or 3 claps, the rhythm must be correct or it doesn't operate. There's 3 red lights on the front and I can see whether it registers as 2 consecutive claps OR 1 clap, empty space, 1 clap. Some days I'm lucky, but most, I find myself doing several sessions trying to get it to turn off the lamp. Once or twice I was close to unplugging it. But, then I got lazy again and just kept on clapping. It is handy, you just have to get the rhythm right.
