I was initially hesitant to buy these as some reviews said they had weak magnets. In my opinion that is not true. Of course everything is relative. i am amateur Small parts from weapons, small parts from knives, screws, small tools such as Allen keys, etc. are my concern. NO very heavy parts for an auto mechanic to encounter. Here's what I checked. The barrel of the Sig 365XL, safely mounted upside down, could come loose. The guide rod and spring mounted upside down can detach from the tray. Small screws and Allen keys are used to disassemble/assemble the knife. Everything was held securely, it only remained to shake with a very aggressive force. Content dropped from the table is retained in the bowl. Five small magnets are built into the base, strong enough to hold it to a metal surface on the side. Even light small parts are held securely in this way. The silicone material that this bowl is made of allows for an adjustment to the tray and cup and also prevents it from slipping on a smooth surface. Combined with fairly powerful magnets, this is a very versatile and useful tool for hobbyists.
