Review on πŸ₯Ύ Waterproof Leather Hiking Shoe for Men – KEEN Targhee III by Jonathan Brendemuehl

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent value for money, good performance, fit, comfort.

I used to have a pair of black full leather Keens - they lasted 10 years! They appear to be equally well made and fit well. The toe box is a bit smaller than my old models, but still larger than most (thank goodness!). The insole is very comfortable but lacks some arch support which I like - not as high as my old boots. They are still very comfortable for several hours. Not sure if it's a half day or full day hike. Of course, this is a very personal thing and your mileage may vary. The grip of these soles is excellent, just like my old Keens. I can walk sideways down a slope and these suction cups just grab me and won't let go. The block pattern on the outsole is also perfect for my hybrid bike pedals - the grip is so secure it looks like I have cages on my pedals. I haven't tested them in rain or otherwise wet conditions so this review is a little premature, but I'll come back to the review once I've done so. They do get a little warm after an hour or so if it's warm outside, but not by as much as I was expecting - enough breath to keep the air moderately cool, although they're water resistant - a good compromise. Overall REALLY good value for money, good fit and comfort - too little arch support for me. Not bad enough for a 4 star rating but I would give 4-1/2 if that was an option. So 5 stars. I will return to this review in a few months and a few miles. In the photographs the language of furs.
