I was skeptical about buying a stand as I saw it as another accessory I wouldn't use. I was completely wrong. In my opinion, a table saw should come with a stand. This frees up so much space around the saw because the compact design allows you to walk all the way around the saw. You couldn't do this by putting the saw on a regular table or using a homemade table. Workstations must be set up locally. Takes up very little space with the saw on top. I read a review where someone 6'3 complained that the height of the table caused the saw to sit too low. Well I'm 6ft 2in and I think the height of the saw on the stand is perfect. The other person might have short arms, but size shouldn't be an issue unless you're very tall. The stand is very durable and easy to install.
