These butter knives are very attractive and perfect for a rustic style kitchen. While not of the highest quality, they will give you plenty of great use with proper care. As others have mentioned, the finish on the wood is water soluble and may stain, which is why you need to take proper care. Could have a better finish, but for such a great cost, this will last an adequate amount of time. I haven't seen any issues with rust yet, I hand wash and dry immediately. I love the color!
