This is a great compact aerator. It is easy to install and its operation is pleasant and smooth. To switch from aerator to spray, all you have to do is turn your head, unlike some other devices that use a push-pull method. I think it puts less stress on your faucet fittings. It's a bit more money and I think it's worth it, this aerator is ALL METAL not plastic! ■■ ■■HOW TO CHOOSE A FEMALE OR FEMALE THREADED AERATOR: Determine whether your faucet spout is female or male. Female-threaded spouts screw into the end of the spout; the male thread is on the outside of the spout. If your faucet has female threads, you will need a male-threaded aerator. If your faucet has male threads, you will need a female-threaded aerator. I've included a few pictures to show the differences between a faucet and an aerator. As you can see, this is a fairly simple selection process. I hope it helps you in your choice.
