Arrived with plastic faceplate not installed properly, packaging intact so I'm guessing it left the factory that way. The drain line is just a plastic hose that needs to be attached to a small nozzle, there is no way to connect a garden hose fitting unlike any other humidifier I have had. It sits in my basement and runs probably 15 hours a day or more and doesn't seem to be as efficient as the unit it replaced as it's designed for the same size room. This device is also significantly smaller, which would be nice if it stayed the same, although that doesn't appear to be the case. It's fairly quiet, quieter than what it replaced, but that might be because it's smaller despite the rating. Dehumidifiers always seem to fail after about 3-4 years of use. The time will show. One of the only things I've ever bought an extended warranty for, it paid for itself twice over. Based on the build quality out of the box, I wouldn't be shocked if I did it thrice with this device.
