These are nice lights -- once you get them hung up and you can avoid getting them tangled when you unpack them. I made the mistake of removing them from their box and undoing the twist-ties that hold each strand together. When I was doing that, it didn't seem at the time it would cause a problem, but as soon as I lifted the lights to attach them to the cord stretched across the window, they became a tangled mess. I spent 30 minutes untangling each strand. I almost gave up, but really wanted to see them work. I'm happy I was able to must the patience of an ancient Chinese philosopher. You can see in the photo how they attach. You either need a skinny curtain rod or use some type of cording. The plastic hooks are not very large. I used paracord, which worked file. If I had white paracord it would blend in better. There is no remote control, but the plug has a controller built into it. At the press of a button you can change between a handful of illumination patterns. The video shows one of the patterns. I blurred the video slightly to accentuate the lights because the individual bulbs are quite tiny. They actually look amazing at night time. When my aunt saw them she wanted her own set!
