my son bought us a weighted blanket for christmas (our first one) it only weighed 17lbs and i loved it but wanted something heavier so i bought this 35lb Ceiling. , immediately the quality of this blanket is much better, you don't really feel the beads like the one he gave us for Christmas. The material feels cool, very smooth and very soft. In hindsight I would probably go for 30 pounds or maybe even 25 because 35 is too much, but I will say that once I fall asleep I don't wake up until morning before using weighted blankets. I would go back and forth tossing and turning all night and daydreaming, they are miracle workers! I highly recommend this duvet, the weight distribution is impeccable, the quilting is reinforced and it is very well finished. Plan to remove any other blankets, this will do. Unfortunately it doesn't stop snoring lol. Poor husband.
